This letter may require assurances that the home-school curriculum is designed to meet basic education goals including reading, spelling, grammar, mathematics, and a study of good citizenship. Please note that a letter of this type is not required each year.

Ultimately, we do disagree with judges’ occasional decisions to deny homeschool parents exemptions, but unfortunately, the law does give judges the ability to have discretion in this even if it means a bad decision can be made. Where can I find the laws?
Yes, your child is legally able to work during their home education. However, there are limitations on how many hours and what kind of jobs your child can get depending on their age. The bottom line is that you must not use a program which doesn’t require actual academic work and doesn’t measure academic achievement.
